The 'BizHitzak' project replaces literary meetings at the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences
From November 14 to December 20, the Eskoriatza campus will host an exhibition entitled "TRAdICIONES" by Onintza Etxebeste Liras. To mark the occasion of the exhibition, there will be poetic, literary and musical performances on November 14.
The Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences will promote a new project related to creativity, culture, the Basque language and the participation of students and teachers: BizHitzak. This new project complements the work carried out by the Literary Meetings since 2002. The promoters of the new project are Unibertsitatea bizi! and the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences Library.
BizHitzak aims to continue the work carried out to date by the Literary Meetings and also involve different projects promoted by the degree programs. The objective is to promote the transmission of Basque culture through enjoyment and creativity. Thus, the project aims to promote both artistic expression created from the Basque language and the creators who carry it out. To this end, its main challenge is to create creative contexts to bring youth and Basque culture together.
First activities
The BizHitzak project will debut in November with an exhibition and live performances. Thus, Onintza Etxebeste Liras will have an exhibition entitled Traditions from November 14 to December 20 on the Eskoriatza campus. To mark the occasion of the exhibition, there will be performances by three creators from the Faculty on the Eskoriatza campus on November 14: a literary performance by Aintzane Usandizaga, a poetry reading by Mikel Etxaburu, and a musical performance by Joserra Vitoria. The performances will be at 3:15 p.m., 4:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
After these first activities, the BizHitzak project will organize activities throughout the academic year on the Aretxabaleta, Eskoriatza and Bilbao campuses.
