A collaboration agreement has been signed between the Labayru Foundation and the Faculty of Fumanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University
The event was held at the Derio headquarters of the Labayru Foundation and was attended by Labayru Foundation Director Igone Etxebarria and Nagore Ipiña, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University.
On January 23, the Labayru Foundation and the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University signed a collaboration agreement. The event was attended by Labayru Foundation Director Igone Etxebarria and Nagore Ipiña, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences.
The agreement reflects the interest of the two organizations in establishing a collaborative relationship, as both entities understand that it is important to maintain a close relationship and effective collaboration. The agreement includes the main aspects to be worked on by both institutions. The two organizations will collaborate on issues in the field of the Basque language and culture. The signed collaboration agreement will facilitate and guide the actions of both entities in the medium-to-long term.
After signing the document, Igone Etxebarria, the Director of the Labayru Foundation, stated that “the mission of the institution, which stems from society, is to research and disseminate the Basque language and culture. This alliance will create synergies to achieve this objective.” For her part, Nagore Ipiña, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences, added that the agreement is a perfect fit with the values of the Faculty and that it will allow Mondragon University to “delve into research” on Basque culture: “Thus, the Labayru Foundation is a strategic ally for the university.”
The representatives of the two entities concluded the event by adding that they wish to promote the most effective collaboration possible, while guaranteeing the autonomy of each institution. According to the signatories, the objective of the collaboration agreement is to work in as coordinated a way as possible to enhance the strengths of both organizations.
