The work of the Industrial Designer consists of giving form to the everyday products we use; mobile phones, packaging, consumer products etc. in a creative, innovative and environmentally-friendly way.

 

Industrial Design is an activity closely related to business innovation; the industrial design engineer being responsible for generating new proposals to be implemented by industry.

The Industrial Design professional has to master design as much as the manufacture and development of products, starting off with the needs of consumers and users to end up with a commercial product. The multidisciplinary nature of engineering allows Industrial Design professionals to for work in various different company departments.
