Placement for teaching practice

General Information

The Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences of Mondragon University offers Teacher Education students from all over the world the chance to do practical placements in Basque schools.This is a tailor made Teaching Practice Placement period in schools in the Basque Country, Spain, for Erasmus, exchange or international students. The teachers working language of the practice in class will be bilingual. With the student teacher in English.

• Application deadline for Teaching Practice to be carried out during the 1st semester: 1st June
• Application deadline for Teaching Practice to be carried out during the 2nd semester: 1st December

Programme Information

The Aim of the Programme

The overall aim of these placements is that trainee teachers from other countries have the opportunity to observe and practise teaching in Basque schools, such as Ikastolas (Community based schools), State schools and Kristau Eskolak (Religious schools) while being supported by an experienced teacher and the home faculty tutor.Teaching practice will take place in early childhood and primary schools and students will work with English teachers in early childhood and primary schools.

The objectives set in the Learnning Agreement between the home university and placement school in the Basque country.
