Study programme
The Master’s degree program is structured around two main areas of knowledge:
- Block 1. Pedagogical foundations of educational innovation.
- Block 2. Methodological foundations of research for educational innovation.
The first block of subjects is related to the pedagogical foundations of educational innovation and aims to provide students with the ability to observe the educational situation from an analytical and critical perspective, so that they will be able to identify the elements, teaching-learning processes, methodologies and aspects of educational agents that may present needs or challenges. Thus, the students will be able to identify the key element of interest on which they would like to carry out their research.
In the second block of subjects, which focuses on the methodological foundations of research for educational innovation, the students will learn to formulate unknowns, questions and hypotheses in academic terms, they will explore the most appropriate research designs (quantitative, qualitative and mixed) according to the objective of the research, and they will identify the factors and variables involved in it. Additionally, they will learn to collect data exhaustively in order to provide an answer to the questions raised, and they will work on the tools needed for data analysis (in terms of both theory and computer applications), after which they will focus particularly on the interpretation of their data and on the ability to communicate results, both orally and in writing, in academic and educational settings.
