CENTER FOR EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION (HBZ)
The Center for Educational Innovation (HBZ) is a multidisciplinary space created by the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University.
The aim of the Center for Educational Innovation is to provide a wide range of services to assist schools, institutions and the general public with the implementation of transformation and innovation processes so that we will be able to deal with 21st-century challenges in education.
WHY DID WE CREATE THE CENTER FOR EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION?
New approaches to teaching and learning have brought new challenges to the entire field of education, and Mondragon University and the Center for Educational Innovation have taken on these challenges. To better respond to these challenges, we believe it is necessary to reorganize and bring to light the advisory model we have had to date. This model aims to respond in a systematic and personalized way to the new modalities and needs of
teaching and learning, to the development of educator profiles, to the new challenges of digitalization, and to innovation processes and projects in organizations, etc. Mondragon University’s center for Educational Innovation has taken on this task and is prepared to adapt creative and innovative proposals to the needs of each organization while always focusing on the individual.
WHAT IS OUR CHALLENGE?
The challenge that we have taken on is to provide assistance to any educational institution that needs it, to construct and strengthen that institution’s project through individual and group development, so that it will be able to foster learning, creativity and entrepreneurship for the future.

Teacher training and advice on new approaches to teaching and learning.
NEW RESPONSES
Development of new teaching and learning approaches that will align with social change. We offer advice, reflective training in the analysis of one’s professional practice, a video-assisted platform, MOOCs, support for designing teaching materials, etc.
OPEN DISCUSSION
Seminars, workshops and other events to spread knowledge about new perspectives on teaching, learning and social issues.
RESEARCH AND EVALUATION
Report to the organization and research on the impact of processes and projects.
COLLABORATION IN INTERNATIONAL NETWORKS
Index of best practices worldwide and, by topic, opportunities for schools to participate in international networks.
