Collaborations and adaptations during the Coronavirus era
In these times in which the Coronavirus has confined us to our homes, in Mondragon University we have had to adapt to the situation in order to continue with our activity. At the same time, this situation is forcing us to reinvent ourselves.
On the other hand, this crisis that we are experiencing is bringing out the best in all of us and is leading us to collaborate and cooperate with both society and institutions.

The manifesto encourages organizations and individuals to reflect on what is currently happening and what is to come, by capitalizing on collective intelligence and individual and collective learning
A group of 5 people from different organizations made up of Oscar Dalmau from Unió Consorci Formació - (Unió Catalana Hospitals / Consorci Salut i Social Catalunya), Jesus Martínez Marin from CEJFE - Departament de Justica - Generalitat de Catalunya, Javier Martinez Aldanondo from Knowledge Works, Joaquim Carbonell from NEOS and José Luis Alonso Andreano from the Mondragon University Business School, have been the driving force behind a manifesto "For a New Culture of Learning - #culturaprendizaje"
This promoter group has relied on a network of 20 other people, including Mariangélica Martínez and Julen Iturbe from this faculty, to build this manifesto that alludes to the importance of developing the learning culture in organizations as a lever to confront and get out of the crisis caused by COVID19.
In a second phase, another 60 people, all of them directors or with responsibility in different organizations, both public and private companies, have contributed to the final document that is available for signature on the website www.culturaprendizaje.org .
This non-profit initiative and available to anyone with a Creative Commons license, contains a series of inspiring principles that seek to help especially people with managerial responsibility, both in direct relation to the management of people but also those who without having said responsibility understand and recognize the importance of learning as one of the most important levers for the competitiveness of organizations and the employability of people.
The manifesto encourages organizations and individuals to reflect on what is currently happening and what is to come, by capitalizing on collective intelligence and individual and collective learning. This reflection, as the first step in learning, will allow us to have more responsible organizations that provide greater value to society.
For all of the above, it is seen as essential to have leaders that facilitate learning that must take place in the organization within a strategic framework that helps people to “learn to learn, unlearn, innovate, collaborate and develop everything his talent ”.
All this should lead organizations to generate learning models "people-centered, supported by technology and that promote networking to manage key knowledge in the organization".
In this sense, the Mondragon University Business School, has been working in recent years with different organizations in the design, development and implementation of Organizational Learning Ecosystems that allow to develop both the desired learning culture and the strategy according to the characteristics of each organization.
