Galarreta Campus (EKO CAMPUS Galarreta)

The EKO CAMPUS Galarreta is located in Hernani. The campus is an innovation ecosystem in which knowledge (Mondragon Unibertsitatea), business (Orona) and research (Ikerlan) collaborate to create a network of synergies for innovation. The Higher Polytechnic School, uniting technology and the environment, seeks a sustainable future. To this end, it internalises technological knowledge on the basis and axis of sustainable development, at the same time as developing profiles of people who are environmentally responsible.

The EKO CAMPUS offers 2 bachelor's degrees and 3 university master's degrees.

The best equipped laboratories and workshops

With an eminently functional design, the Galarreta Campus is equipped with facilities such as teaching and research laboratories, project rooms, classrooms, and a library, among others.

In our laboratories, you will have all the material and equipment you will need to carry out the practices of subjects such as physics, chemistry, fluids, electricity, and technology. You will also be able to continue using them during your End-of-Course Projects and the Dual Training period, in which you will alternate studies and work.

The following are some of the laboratories and research facilities that you will be able to use:

Additive manufacturing laboratory

Using 3d printers based on different technologies, you will be able to print the pieces and models of the projects you develop.

Materials laboratory

Equipped with testing machines such as optical and electronic microscopes to observe the structure of materials and understand their properties.

Machining laboratory

It features state-of-the-art technological equipment, as well as milling machines, saws, lathes, and conventional tools of all kinds.

Automation and control

For the design, assembly, programming and/or commissioning of automatic control systems

Prototype workshop

Dedicated to the manufacture, fine-tuning and testing of the prototypes that you will have to present in your projects, using 3D printing and other manufacturing technologies.

Live University life

At the University of Mondragon in general, and on the different campuses of the Higher Polytechnic School, life is lived among the latest sportsculture and entertainment facilities. The university is also very involved with the community and students organise a growing number of activities aimed at society as a whole: trade fairs, magazine, contests, Literature Week, etc.

We also organise PBL Day every year, a day when all the projects developed during the academic year are exhibited and the best one wins a prize of €1000. And you will be able to take part in the NiZuGu Mugituz conference at which we find ways to train you in sustainable development, equality and values.

All these activities also form an integral part of the educational programme and their purpose is to improve quality of life for our students. At Mondragon Unibertsitatea you also learn how to live.
