Orona, a company specialising in urban mobility solutions, held on 15 November, at its corporate Orona Ideo head office, in Hernani, Spain, the 10th edition of the Orona Get Up Awards.  The contest aims to promote the final projects of studies that incorporate new developments in the field of vertical transport, urban mobility, and energy management of buildings, in addition to providing innovations in the field of research. In this 10th edition of the contest, 11 projects were submitted. 

The second prize, endowed with €1,000, was given to Jon Ander Kortabarria Elguero, a student of the Master’s Degree in Energy and Power Electronics of Mondragon Unibertsitatea. In his work, Kortabarria proposed the review and optimisation of the current manufacturing process of electric motors in order to increase the capacity and productivity of Orona. 

The event, held in the auditorium of the Orona Zero building, was attended by Dania López, Corporate Director of Social Management at Orona; Jose Miguel Lazkanotegi, Corporate Director of Technological Innovation; Jon Altuna, Deputy Dena of Mondragon University; Javier Ganuza, Head of External Relations of Tecnun; and Faustino Mujika Garitano, Deputy Director of Foreign Relations of the School of Engineering of Gipuzkoa, UPV-EHU.
