High satisfaction of the contracting companies
In the process of renewal of the Accreditation of the computer engineering course by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA), the degree team was congratulated for the high satisfaction of the contracting companies thanks to the professional profile acquired by the students of the computer engineering course and was awarded the highest rating in this section.
Every year, the satisfaction of the companies is measured with the level of our students when they finish the End-of-Degree Project, in which the student develops a project for that company, with specific objectives, responding to specific needs of that company, and in which the company remunerates the student. The average valuation of the company is higher than 9 out of 10. This is also partly the reason why Lanbide, in its annual study of the different university degrees, highlights the TFG as one of the main access routes to employment for students of the computer science course, placing it at 32%.
The main points positively valued by the companies are:
- Technical knowledge: They believe that the technical training demonstrated by the students is very good and highly valued.
- Attitudes towards work: They value very positively the degree of involvement of the students in the work, their responsibility and initiative and their adaptation, and participation in the work teams of the company.
We believe that the use of the POPBL as a teaching methodology clearly contributes to obtaining this professional profile. The fact of facing, each semester, a problem they are required to solve by carrying out a team project, in a set period of time, allows students to develop technical knowledge, as well as developing very interesting qualities for the needs of the current company.
