Mondragon Unibertsitatea organizes the XXVII International Congress on Project Engineering Management (CIDIP 2023)
The event was attended by more than 200 national and international professionals to discuss and present their latest research related to project engineering management.
The Polytechnic School of Mondragon Unibertsitatea has organized together with the Spanish Association of Project Management and Engineering (AEIPRO) the XXVII International Congress of Project Management and Engineering, which was held in Donostia-San Sebastian from July 12 to 13 in a mixed format. On July 10 and 11 the event took place in an online format and on July 12 and 13 in a face-to-face format. The latter part was held at the Galarreta campus of Mondragon Unibertsitatea. The international event was also supported by the General Council of Official Associations of Industrial Engineers and the Official Association of Industrial Engineers of Gipuzkoa.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Rector of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Vicente Atxa; the Basque Government Minister of Education, Jokin Bildarratz; the President of AEIPRO, María Socorro García; the President of the CIDIP 2023 Organizing Committee, Ganix Lasa; the member of the General Council of Industrial Engineers, José Plaza; and the General Coordinator of the Polytechnic School of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Carlos García.
The event was attended by more than 200 national and international professionals from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, China, Colombia, Croatia, Ecuador, Spain, Germany, Guatemala, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Serbia, Russia, Turkey and the United Kingdom. A total of 202 papers were presented, of which 70 were defended online and 132 in person. The thematic areas covered focused on project management; civil engineering; product engineering; energy efficiency and renewable energies; rural development and development cooperation projects; information and communications technologies; risk management and safety; educational innovation in project management and engineering; and best practices and business cases. In total, ten topics were discussed at the congress and the speakers spoke about them.
Mondragon Unibertsitatea is committed to attracting major scientific congresses to the Basque Country, as is the case of the XXVI Congress of Project Engineering Management (CIDIP), thanks to its relevant research activity and for being a reference in the field of engineering. Among the personalities participating as guests at the Congress are Mladen Vukomanovic, Vice President of IPMA and Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Zagreb, and Vladimir Obradovic, Vice President of IPMA and member of the Serbian Parliament.
