1st Meeting on trends of power electronics
1st Meeting on trends of power electronics
1st Meeting on trends of power electronics
The meeting organised by Mondragon Unibertsitatea will feature talks by international researchers from the University of Tennessee Knoxville, North Carolina State University and Technical University of Denmark.
The 1st Meeting on Trends of Power Electronics of Mondragon Unibertsitatea will take place on 24th February 2023. The conference will address the challenges of power electronics in industrial applications in the field of medium and high power, such as wind power generation, photovoltaic, electric vehicle, charging infrastructure and electric traction, among others. The meeting will take place at the Galarreta campus (Hernani, Spain) and from 9:00 to 15:00 seven researchers will present the results of their advances. There will also be the possibility of connecting online for those who cannot attend in person.
Today's power electronics are mainly based on silicon semiconductors, and although much progress has been made in recent years, there is still room for improvement in optimising efficiency. For this reason, the Mondragon Unibertsitatea conference will deal with topics such as:
- The search for alternative DC-DC and DC-AC converter topologies
- Improving passive components for high-frequency operation
- The integration of new wide-banking semiconductor materials prohibited.
Mondragon Unibertsitatea's Electrical Energy research groups are working on these three lines of research in collaboration with other international organisations, such as the University of Tennessee Knoxville, North Carolina State University and Technical University of Denmark, which will also be taking part in the conference on 24th February.
