The first year of the course will be offered at a 55% discount thanks to a subsidy from the Government of Navarre. Tuition will be 1,980 euros, which includes accommodation and food in Lekaroz.
Today, in Noain, the General Director of Business Policy, International Projection and Labor of the Government of Navarre, Izaskun Goñi; and the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of Mondragon University, Nagore Ipiña, announced the Expert Certification in Entrepreneurship and Audiovisual Innovation that Mondragon University will offer online beginning in January of 2023, with in-person workshops that will take place on the Lekaroz Business Campus. Also in attendance at the presentation were the Head of Lifelong Learning in Communication and Coordinator of the Expert Certification program in Entrepreneurship and Audiovisual Innovation, Amaia Pavón; Manager of the Audiovisual Cluster of Navarre (CLAVNA), Arturo Cisneros; and the Training Coordinator of this organization, Roberto Elizalde.
The certification arose from the need to provide the Navarrese audiovisual sector with a differential and specialized knowledge, and its objective is to strengthen the business network of the audiovisual sector in the community with new business models. The importance and projection that the audiovisual sector has been acquiring for some time now in this community is evidenced in the commitment of the Government of Navarre to promote this area, which in fact has won the support of the Department of Economic and Business Development of the Government of Navarre. To promote training in this field, the first year of the course will be subsidized at 55% by the Government of Navarre, and its total cost will be 1,980 euros for all students (without the subsidy, the price of the certification goes to 4,400 euros). The tuition for the course includes accommodation and food in Lekaroz. The certification will be taught online with workshops held once a month (Friday afternoon and Saturday) on the Lekaroz Business Campus, and it will start on January 11, 2023 and end on June 17. The course is aimed at both professionals and recent graduates from Navarre and other communities.
Boosting the sector
The certification was created to address specific needs. First, to provide the audiovisual sector with knowledge that is not currently offered in Navarre, with the aim of strengthening the business network of the audiovisual sector given that various areas of Navarre, such as the Baztan Valley, for example, are hosting the shooting of larger and larger film projects. Although this certification is based on the needs of the Navarrese audiovisual context, the program is open to all interested parties from the Euroregion who aim to undertake projects or innovate in the audiovisual sector. Second, the program aims to offer high-quality university-level instruction on the Lekaroz Business Campus and connect it with the history of this space by orienting it toward the audiovisual and biotechnology sectors.
The course will work on content from the audiovisual field in order for the students to become familiar with the current state of the sector and identify current market trends. It will also delve into innovation and entrepreneurship strategies in order to respond to the challenges posed by the sector from divergent but fundamental perspectives.
This postgraduate course consists of five modules with 4 weekend workshops and a project, all of which will be mentored by professionals in the audiovisual sector.
- Current state and challenges of the audiovisual sector.
- Audiovisuals in the global and digital era.
