For the first time in 15 years LEINN (Official Degree in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation) will be on constant learning trips throughout the year. The more than 1,200 people that make up the LEINN community today will be present in 6 countries on 3 continents.
These learning trips are part of their learning process, and are a key element in the growth and development of a global outlook. The objective is not simply to travel, but to prepare and finance an experience that allows them to connect with the country, the culture and the way of doing business. Detect opportunities, meet new partners and develop projects with positive impact.
In addition, we incorporate the concept of the triple impact economy (people, profit, planet). The team company must reflect and discuss the topic and develop an action plan to improve these indicators in their company.
We train to relate to the culture of the country from the recognition of a relationship between equals, being aware of the privileged situation from which we start. This experience gives us the opportunity to analyze, recognize and assume diversity.
For these connections to happen and to experience the country in the most real way possible, local partners are essential. This is where Travelling U, with structures in Berlin and Seoul, and TeamLabs come into play. Thanks to them we can get to know small stories, delve into the culture or get to know entrepreneurial projects up close.
As of today, our network of partners is as follows:
-Berlin: Ironhack
-Korea: HBM
-India: Gienet
-Costa Rica: Fundepos University of Costa Rica
-Finland: Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.
During these trips, Team Companies do not travel alone either. They coexist and live together with other teams of the community, understanding the value and potential of the network that Mondragon Team Academy has. Moreover, in some Labs (as in Seoul or Berlin), they also coexist with local LEINN teams, making the experience even more diverse and exciting.
This year the novelty is that we will return to India, a country that has always been present in our learning trips, but we have not been able to go there during the pandemic. India is a country with an emerging economy (BRICS) that has always given us the opportunity to learn new ways of doing projects through methodologies such as Frugal Innovation or focusing on the bottom of the pyramid.
There the teams will live the experience of Leadership Week, crystallizing their reflections in a Personal Manifesto: A declaration of principles that serves as a compass and inspiration for the future. A special moment they will always remember.
At present we already have teams in Berlin and Costa Rica, and in January they will begin to arrive in Seoul, India, Bilbao and Finland.
They tell us that the experience in Berlin is helping them to get to know themselves and as a team. It has been a good starting point, as they are beginning to invoice with projects selling second-hand clothes, local markets in Berlin...
Sergio Casado from Luxxo's Team Company shared with us "My experience in Costa Rica has been transforming both personally and professionally, and with my team company we are developing different projects, from soccer tournaments, hackathons and even talks on entrepreneurship".
Filipe Rebello, who is living the experience as Team Coach shares with us that “Costa Rica has an entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem that at first glance already impacts us positively. It is an ecosystem very connected to the concept of sustainability since 25% of its territory is delimited (and cared for) as a natural reserve. Likewise, we are seeing that both community activities and businesses that can be co-created here are being very well received. All of this makes it very fertile ground for the entire LEINN community here."
At the end of the Learning Journeys, through the completion of a team report, the LEINNers evaluate the learning of the team and the results obtained in the Learning Journey. Here you will be able to see some of these reports in the coming months.
