The Goiena Communication Group and Mondragon University have announced the third year of Communication Camp for the summer. The camp will take place the first week of July, from the 3rd to the 7th. Registration is now open.

Communication Camp is organized by the Goiena Communication Group and Mondragon University’s Degree Program in Audiovisual Communication. It will take place in Aretxabaleta, on Mondragon University’s Communication Campus. It will be held in Basque, and is aimed at young people in their 4th year of Compulsory Secondary Education or first year of high school. The camp will take place the first week of July, from the 3rd to the 7th, in the mornings, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

 

TOPIC: VIDEO-PODCASTS: CREATION AND DISSEMINATION ON SOCIAL NETWORKS

The purpose of the camp is to attract young people in a practical and fun way to the world of communication. For this purpose, the following topics, among others, will be addressed: how a set for television works, how to behave in front of the camera, how to make podcasts, photojournalism, how to campaign on social networks, etc. In this third year of the camp, participants will work on the creation, production and distribution on social networks of a video podcast. The young people will have access to the resources on Mondragon University’s Aretxabaleta campus: a set for television shows, computers, audiovisual materials, etc. They will also become familiar with and work at Goiena’s headquarters in Arrasate, where they will visit the newsroom, the television set, etc.

Experts in communication, professionals from the Goiena Communication Group, and instructors from Mondragon University’s degree program in Audiovisual Communication will take part in this 3rd year of Communication Camp. Instructors will include Gaztea communicator and announcer Ainhoa Vitoria, expert in mojo content –informative pieces made with cell phones– from Goiena Xabier Urzelai, and Mondragon University instructor and expert in streaming broadcasts, podcasts and audiovisual formats Unai Portilla.

Registration will be open until June 19, 2023, and the camp will cost 125 euros. Space is limited to a maximum of 15 people.
