Students of the Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering visited AMPO’s facilities
The students on the master's degree, specifically those studying Materials and Processes specialisation, were able to see first-hand the casting process of the valves manufactured by the Basque company AMPO.
The students on the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering at Mondragon Unibertsitatea, specifically those taking The Materials and Processes specialisation, visited the plant of the cooperative AMPO, located in Idiazabal. The Basque cooperative designs and develops the most reliable and safe valves on the market and is very well positioned in the international market.
During the visit to the production plant the students from Mondragon Unibertsitatea had the opportunity to learn about the different casting technologies and were able to see the complexity of these technologies first hand. They also had the chance to visit the machining building, a facility equipped with state-of-the-art machinery.
