In addition to learning first-hand about the work carried out in European institutions, the Global Digital Humanities students participated in numerous workshops, meetings and visits.
From April 29 to May 3, second-year students in the Global Digital Humanities (HDG degree program were in Brussels. On this study and work trip, the students participated in numerous workshops, visits and meetings. At the beginning of the trip, for example, they visited the European Committee of the Regions and, thanks to Marta Marín and Amaia Beloki, they visited the Basque Government delegation to the European Union, where they learned about the structure and functions of the Committee of the Regions. They also visited the European Parliament.
On this work trip, the students learned not only about the European Parliament, but about various other organizations as well. They met with representatives of the Becentral digital campus to discuss the work of the more than 60 entrepreneurs who belong to this organization and to learn about their work promoting startups and having an impact on society. The students also delved into the Brussels #smartcity strategy with the strategy managers and, to conclude their trip, they visited the FARI - AI for the Common Good Institute.
