Works may now be submitted for the 18th annual Huhezinema Basque Short Film Festival
The 18th annual festival will be held on January 22, 23 and 24, 2025. The deadline to submit Basque short films and music videos is November 17, 2024.
The 18th annual Huhezinema Basque Short Film Festival is now accepting submissions; the deadline to submit works is November 17, 2024, and those chosen will be shown at the festival, which will take place on January 22-24, 2025. As is the case every year, the festival will be organized by 4th-year Audiovisual Communication students, a team of 19 this year, and will be part of a university module under the guidance of Mondragon University professor Maialen Torres.
As was done last year, the festival will include an Official Section, a Student Section, and Music Videos. At the end of the festival, the following prizes will be awarded by the jury and the audience:
Official Section (each finalist will receive €150)
Huhezinema Award: €650
Audience Award: prize valued at €100
Student Section
Best Student Film: €300
MU Award: €200 for the best work by Mondragon University students
Audience Award: prize valued at €100
Music Videos
Best Music Video: 300€
Audience Award: prize valued at €100
Mundukide Award: €700 for the best short film that invites us to reflect on our place in the world today
