In this period of confinement, students have had the opportunity to develop technological ideas that they once had in mind. Alternatively, the situation has led groups of students to have a new innovative idea. Thus, the Higher Polytechnic School of Mondragon is launching the new entrepreneurial initiative Enpresa Sortuz and encouraging all its students (students of training cycles, undergraduate courses and Master’s degrees in engineering) to participate and value their idea. The centre’s main goal is to encourage those who should complete their End-of-Course/End-of-Master’s project in the coming year, those who are finishing their studies soon, and alumni who have left the centre in previous years.
Among all projects presented, one will be selected, and its promoters will receive a grant valued at €18,000 to develop their business idea. This amount is intended to cover a scholarship or monthly aid for entrepreneurs, as well as the purchase of material or equipment necessary to carry out the activity, all duly justified. For cases that feature a single person as a promoter and require people for support, the grant will allow them to request the collaboration of students in TFG or TFM of any of the engineering courses of Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa.
The promoting person or group will also have a workspace at the GARAIA Technology Park of Arrasate, specifically in the start-up area. Additionally, the Mondragon Unibertsitatea faculty will be offering technological advice, whilst Saiolan will be in charge of providing business advice.
