Centre for Innovation in Design organises an event where undergraduate and master's students develop solutions to the requests of companies
The students of the design specialisation presented solutions for the projects of Ereindajan and Gu Haziak Gara.
The third-year students of the Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering and the Master’s Degree in Strategic Design of Products and Services participated in the event held at the Design Research Centre of the Higher Polytechnic School. In addition, the workshop was attended by the Debagoiena Innovation Platform and representatives of the Ereindajan and Gu Haziak Gara projects.
The event began with the presentation of the new Innovation Platform, followed by a presentation of challenges. The groups of students had three hours to reflect on these challenges, then presenting the solutions developed.
An interactive exercise
Representatives of the Ereindajan and Gu Haziak Gara projects presented three challenges to the students:
- Ereindajan requested the students to submit a proposal of an awareness-raising service and a redesign of the service based on the customers’ experience.
- Gu Haziak Gara proposed the design of a service that collects the different actions currently being carried out.
To face these challenges, the students of the Higher Polytechnic School were organised into 12 groups, mixing between the undergraduate and Master’s degree students. For three hours, they had the opportunity to reflect on these challenges, with 40 minutes for the analysis, 50 for ideation, and 90 for preparation. The workshop was concluded with the presentation of the projects prepared by the different groups during the morning.
