The conference has been organized as part of the Eragin research project. The main objective of the project is to promote initiatives to transform employment, quality workplaces and employment in educational institutions. For this purpose and with this main objective, the project aims first, to define and evaluate the key conditions and competencies of the teaching staff and second, to evaluate the key conditions and competencies of the teaching staff and analyze their relationship with student talent.

The purpose of this conference

Society and educational contexts are changing, and education is far from oblivious to the great changes that are taking place; it is, in fact, very much determined by digitalization, migratory movement, sustainability and the health situation, among other factors. In this changing context, teachers have a great responsibility, one that goes beyond traditional academic objectives, to work, guide and adapt learning processes to change, and to promote the personalized and cooperative learning of future workers.

Gipuzkoa needs creative, cooperative, flexible and critical people to respond appropriately to the challenges of this century. With this in mind, it is students’ personal characteristics that have been put on center stage in different educational centers and universities. The conference will focus on the teaching staff who are key in the promotion of these personal characteristics. Thus, the seminar on June 8 aims to answer the following questions: What role should teachers play in the promotion of these characteristics in their students? What are the key competencies that teachers should have? In innovative contexts, what is the quality employment of teachers like?
