Bilbao Berrikuntza Faktoria will host from June 5 to 8 the first Congress to address the importance of welfare, personal and social, in the pedagogical framework of higher education, to collaboratively build better societies. It is organized by Mondragon Team Academy, the Entrepreneurship and Innovation unit of the Business Faculty of Mondragon Unibertsitatea and is part of the WISE Network.
In this context, two years ago, Mondragon Team Academy joined the WISE network (Wellbeing, Innovation and Social Change in Education network) a pilot project with 11 Higher Education organizations, part of a project called The Wellbeing Project, which aims to change the work culture in the field of innovation and social entrepreneurship worldwide.
In fact, during the last four years Mondragon Team Academy through the LEINN (Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation) degree has been working on the renewal of its pedagogical framework, discovering new ways of doing, thinking and learning in collective entrepreneurship.
Meeting in Bilbao
The WISE network is formed by the division of Health and Human Performance at Stanford University, the Center for Contemplative Science at the University of Virginia and the Innovation and Team Entrepreneurship unit of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, and is developed in collaboration with the other members of the network, who will share their experiences at the meeting in Bilbao, such as Aneel Chima, director of the division of health and human performance at Stanford University or David Germano, professor of Tibetan and Buddhist studies at the University of Virginia.
The objective of this first Congress of the WISE Network is focused on learning more experiences, sharing knowledge and resources, promoting research and building collaborative programs, and developing best practices to continue using this culture of inner well-being for leaders of social change.
