We already have the winning photograph of this edition of the contest
Last week espired the deadline to present the works of this 22th edition of the photography contest organized by the Sports Service. In total, 12 photographs have been submitted, with 6 people participating in the contest whose theme is "Crucial moments in sport" Here you have the album with all the works presented.
Our colleagues from the Aretxabaleta campus have helped us in the resolution of the contest and the winner was the photo "Hortzak estutu eta gora begiratu" (grit your teeth and look up) by Beñat Arribas Imaz, in which a person appears climbing a wall, experiencing a crucial moment of his ascension.
Here you have the technical justification of the jury:
- It reflects the theme of the contest very well: The photograph presents a unique vision of the sport of climbing, capturing the essence of the "moment" in which the climber faces his challenge. It captures a crucial moment in a climber's life, one of maximum concentration and effort. The image conveys the beauty of the sport of climbing.
- Aesthetic quality: The photo is technically excellent, with good composition, lighting and focus. The climber's placement creates a balanced and attractive composition. This location directs the viewer's gaze towards the protagonist of the photograph, and highlights the importance of his action.
- Beyond its technical value, the image conveys a sense of adventure, personal transcendence and a connection with nature.
Thanks to all the participants and congratulations to Beñat Arribas Imaz for his photo "Hortzak estutu eta gora begiratu"!
