The students of the 2nd year of the Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering of Mondragon Unibertsitatea made a visit to the die-cutting company BATZ, located in Igorre.
The visit was framed in the context of Materials Forming, and in the same, Ines Seguroinolaza, a worker from the company, showed the process of manufacturing the dies developed by the cooperative for the forming of components for various sectors, such as the automotive sector or aeronautics.
During the visit, the students visited the company’s machining, assembly, commissioning and quality control sections. In them, the students received detailed explanations about the necessary steps for the correct manufacture of the dies.
The visit was a perfect complement to the training received by the students in the aforementioned subject. With that, Mondragon Unibertsitatea continues to focus on practical education, remaining close to the business reality and enabling students to learn about the reality of companies in the sector.
