Integration into the labour market of Basque Culinary Center graduates verges on total employability, with 24% in positions of responsibility

The employability figures of the first two classes of Basque Culinary Center show excellent results. An internal study by the research department of the Basque Culinary Center shows that practically one hundred percent of students who graduated in the first and second classes of the Degree in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts are now working. And secondly, that 24% are doing so in positions of responsibility in the company.

This data becomes very important if we take into account the unemployment figure among young people, both in the Basque Country and in the Spanish State, which is 24 and 43%, respectively.

The relevance of both figures takes on even more importance if we take into account the speed with which the graduates have accessed their positions and, therefore, the great journeys these students have ahead of them in their professional careers.

Basque Culinary Center is based on two fundamental mainstays: the Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences, attached to Mondragon University, with a highly qualified training offer aimed at training professionals in the culinary sector of the 21st century; and a Research and Innovation Centre in the area of Food and Gastronomy. It is in fact the only centre in the world to contain a faculty and an R&D centre.

Two days after hearing the results of the U-ranking report, drawn up by BBVA and the Valencian Institute for Economic Research, placing Mondragon University as the third university in the Spanish State as regards ratios of employability, the study prepared by Basque Culinary Center heads in the same direction and endorses with its own data the results of the national university report.
