The 2nd year of Communication Camp begins in Aretxabaleta
Siete personas participarán en el campus de verano organizado por Goiena Komunikazio Taldea y el grado en Comunicación Audiovisual de Mondragon Unibertsitatea.
Today marked the opening of the second year of the Communication Camp organized jointly by Mondragon University and the Goiena Communication Group. Once introductions were made, the participants visited the communication campus that Mondragon University has in Aretxabaleta. The young people familiarized themselves with the resources with which they will carry out the different projects and also visited the different locations that they will use to carry out their work. As usual, the young people seemed a little nervous at first, but working groups were formed immediately, introductions were made, and they threw themselves into the first video presentations right away. Mondragon University instructors Unai Portilla and Idoia Lahidalga and Goiena journalist Xabier Urzelai noted that the first morning “flew by.”
Taking an interest in the world of communication
The goal of the camp is to attract young people to the world of communication in a practical and fun way. Today they started by making their first presentations on camera, and they also took the cameras and made their first video edits. Tomorrow, Tuesday, they will visit the Goiena Communication Group – where they will become familiar with the newsroom, the television studio set and the radio studio – and will tour the streets of Arrasate working as photojournalists. On Wednesday and Thursday, they will be visited by Ainhoa Vitoria,
Mondragon University alumna, communicator and Gaztea radio announcer, and Alex Padilla, expert in social networks and communication technician at Tabakalera and Gaztea; these professionals will detail their respective areas of work. Finally, on Friday the young people will make live podcasts, since that will be one of the main tasks of this second year of the camp: the creation of live podcasts.
