The call aims to strengthen strategic lines of research related to educational innovation as part of the Doctoral Program in Educational Innovation and Intervention.
The Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences has opened the call to complete a doctorate in the Faculty. The Faculty will offer researchers the opportunity to carry out their activity in a collaborative research context. The objective of the call is to strengthen four of the strategic lines of research of the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences.
This call for the 2023-2024 academic year aims to hire two researchers for the Doctoral Program in Educational Innovation and Intervention. Specifically, the call is aimed at researchers who wish to complete their doctoral dissertation in one of the following areas of educational innovation:
- STE(A)M and digitalization: digital competence, digital technology in education, digital communication, STE(A)M projects…
- Languages and cultures: multiple literacy, promotion of the Basque language and culture, multilingualism…
- Education and society: interculturality, integration of the educational community, interdisciplinary didactics of the social sciences…
- Educational processes: attention to diversity, evaluation, methodology, coeducation, Dual program…
Research projects based on the practice of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education or Secondary Education will be appreciated. However, continuing the work carried out by the LANKI Institute of Cooperative Research of the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences, research projects on cooperative education will also be taken into consideration.

The selected doctoral students will join the Faculty’s LRT team (Leading Researchers in Training) and will devote most of their activity to writing their respective doctoral dissertations. The people selected will be hired as LRTs for a limited period of time and their contracts will be extended each year up to a maximum of three years, provided that their evaluations are favorable.
The Leading Researcher in Training is a figure created to promote the development of research projects, encourage strategic knowledge of the organization, and guarantee the integration, motivation and commitment of doctoral students. The objectives are to develop scientific knowledge through a predoctoral contract and to promote internationalization.
